Whores Speak Out In Photos Contest


Contest mechanics:

1. Anyone can join.
2. The secretariat will accept entries from January 15 to February 15
3.Entries must be original and not infringe on the rights of any entity.
4.The competition is composed of two categories
Amateur/Students
Professional
5.There is no registration fee.
6.Each participant may submit up to three entries.
7. Photos should speak the theme: “Zero Stigma. Zero Discrimination”
8. Photo-editing programs may be used, but only for basic post- processing actions for contrast, color balance, sharpening, cropping, dodging and burning. Collages will not be qualified.
9. Entries should not bear watermarks, signatures, frames or other markings such as date and/or time stamps.
10. Upon request, Entrants must provide a model release for all submissions. If the subject of a photograph is under the age of 18, the photographer must provide a written release from a parent or legal guardian. Failure to provide such releases upon request may result in disqualification. Do not send the release with your submission. Organizer will contact you if releases are required
11. Screening and final judging will be conducted by a panel of experts.
12. WHORE reserves the right to publish all entries on the WHORE website, other relevant websites and for non-profit use by WHORE and its not-for-profit partners.
13. Entrants do not waive their intellectual or moral property rights by entering the contest, and will therefore retain the right to be identified as the photographer behind the image.
14. Photos should be 300dpi at the minimum.
15. Each entry should come with the following information on a separate sheet.
Last name, First name
Category: Amateur or Professional
Complete Address
Contact numbers and e-mail address
When and where the photo was taken, and what is in the frame
Title of entry
16. Entries should be e-mailed to whorephotocontest@gmail.com.
17. Entries should not have won in previous competitions.
18.The final 8 winners for the two categories will be chosen based on the following criteria. There will be a separate category for Popularity, to be determined based on the results of Facebook and on-site voting.
Substance, impact and creativity: 50%
Composition, clarity and technical quality: 50%
The prizes are:
Professional
First Prize: P 15, 000
Second Prize: P 8,000
Third Prize: P 5,000
Amateur
First Prize: P10,000
Second Prize P6,000
Third Prize: P3,000
Popularity Contest:
One winner of P2,000 for each category
The top winners in both categories plus six other photos to be selected from among the entries will be exhibited during the Baguio Flower Festival on February and for the whole month of April at the Bangkok Culture and Arts Center in Thailand.
